Become a Community Dancer
Join us on stage after warming up with a workshop
Community Dancers, or CDs, are those audience members who feel ready and inspired to perform with us. Don’t worry, there is no audition for CDs.
Each Juhartánc performance is preceded by a Community Dancer Workshop. These 60-75-minute workshops are offered by Juhartánc company dancers, and teach a segment of choreography to anyone who signs up. Workshop participants can choose to put this new knowledge into practice by joining us on stage as part of that evening’s performance.
Community Dancer Workshops are free for ticket holders of that day’s performance. Please have your ticket ready for when you get to the workshop, and you’ll be ready to dance!
If you wish, your name as a Community Dancer will be added to our Wall below:

While Eden is a 50-minute performance, Community Dancers will only perform in the finale, for about 5-7 minutes. This way, you can enjoy the entirety of the performance prior to dancing at the end.
The choreography for the finale uses simple moves and repetition, so you don’t have to worry about learning an entire routine, or forgetting it when you step on stage.
-
For the workshop, please wear comfortable clothing. You can wear socks or participate barefoot.
Arrive on time to our workshop, so that you can participate in warming up for a safe dancing experience.
